Question about Acer Computers & Internet
The assume that right now you have full access with your drive d. If not, there is a need to format the D first, selecting and right click it from the explorer, then select Format. Now, if you have full access to drive d, one technique is to copy all your archive (old files, installer, games, etc) to drive D to free some space from drive C. In other cases, during creation of documents (MS Word for example), you may opt to select My Computer, then drive D, the folder (of there is one) before you click on Save or OK.
Good Luck.

Hi,
You have an option to transfer the free space from drive d: to drive c: and you can do it by using Disk Management under the Computer Management console:
to go to disk management:
Go to Control panel > click on Administrative Tools > Click on Computer Management > On the left you'll see disk management > Right click on drive D: click on shrink volume: > and you'll be asked what is the size pf space you want to transfer from d: to c: > after that click on shrink > after that an unallocated space will appear > right click on for you to make a primary drive > then after that right click on c: to extend the drive with the space you removed from d: > you should be able to get additional spcae now.
Thank you for using Fixya, you high recommendation is highly appreciated for the free support.

When I read this I thought "Great, I will try that". Unfortunately I did not do a restore point before I started. The D drive would only let me take half out and so I created a new drive F which wanted to be formatted, so I did. Right clicked C drive and there was no option to Extend the drive (it's there but not available). So now I have C drive full, D with a few things in and F drive that I cannot put back into either C or D :(
And I am not sure how much I can safely move out of C to D, but all future files, etc will go to D
