2. .Deep Reset - Dial *#7370#
When this code isdialed in Nokia handset, it will wholly clean internal phone memory. Entire phone settings and profiles will be deleted, but there is no effect on memory card data.

looks like you will have to hare reset you mobile
This is e real and function trick for default factory reset.
Example after firmware update, and restore backup from pc to n73.

1. Turn On the phone
2. press (tap) 3 buttons at the same time :

green call button

*

3. until you see pin code request.
!!! Don't push on buttons, but tap buttons !!!

It really depends on what kind of iPod you actually have. If you have an iPod touch, a hard reset might do the trick.
Hold both the power and the home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the apple logo. Then the iPod will be restored to factory settings.
But don't worry, all you items will be restored once you re-sync it to iTunes

5. Formatting task will be started...

Remove your memory card, simcard and switch on your phone without sim card mode, enter *#7370# on the main screen, if there's no effect try this two *#7780# and *#7373#. For your reference, take a look at my tips and tricks about nokia mobiles. click here to open the link
For some nokia mobiles, pressing and holding "3+*+Green button+Power switch" formats the handset and for some models like 3110c, "*+#+Power Switch" does the formatting.
(don't include the + and ")
If all these don't help, i would suggest you to get it done from a mobile repairing shop or from a service center.

Try to format it

STEP: 1. Switch off your Nokia Mobile,
STEP: 2. Press-> Call button, press-> 3, press-> *,
STEP: 3. Now Switch on your Mobile.
Option 3: *#7780# -Restore factory settings
Option 4: *#2640# -Displays security code in use

Kudos to you for having the wisdom to do a backup.
Heres the fix
Turn off phone. Hold down "*", "3" and the green call button all at the same time, Turn it on while keeping all 3 buttons pressed until the phone has fully started up. This resets it to factory default and works with any symbian phone. Restore the backup.

FYI avoid the v30 and v31 firmwares as the hellocarbide hack you are talking about has been disabled

If for some reason the Format option is gone, then perhaps some of the firmware or settings have been drastically changed or worst, corrupted.

A couple of things you can try:
a. do a soft reset - press on the Power/Menu for 15 seconds;
b. do a full settings reset - Main Menu/Settings/Reset All;
c. do a Format - Main Menu/Settings/Format but all in the internal memory will be erased;

If the above will not work, you can also try:
1. download and run in your PC Sansa Connect Recovery Tool
2. read the How to use the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool and follow the instructions carefully;
3. doing #1 will erase the corrupted files, unfortunately so with everything else. It will then restore the device software to an uncorrupted state.
