Frigidaire washer will not start. Get err and LOC codes.
Suddenly, my washer displays like in is in a wash cycle. The lights are on, but it does not start. I push cancel button, and it beeps 3 times and displays 'err' then 'LOC', then time left in cycle. It happened after I had washed a load, not during use. I unplugged overnight and it still dysplays same code.
I have the exact same problem... front lights all come on for no reason...washer is not even a year old... front lights come on, and when I push "cancel", it starts flashing "Err". Unplugging does not seem to help.I have the exact same problem... front lights all come on for no reason...washer is not even a year old... front lights come on, and when I push "cancel", it starts flashing "Err". I am having the same problem. First the door lock would lock and release under the normal cycle; however will look on any other selection. The problem now is the washer will not dispense water to start the wash even with the lights working and the lock engaging.I am having the same problem. To avoid having someone accidentally start or stop the washer, press OPTIONS and Select at the same time and hold for about 10 seconds until the Control Lock) lights up. "LOC" will be displayed alternately with the estimated cycle time. Turning the Cycle Selector knob or pressing any button will produce flashing indicator lights and/or beeping. To unlock the controls, press and hold OPTIONS and Select for about 10 seconds.Frigidaire GLTF2940ES3 Quick Start Manual Page 3
Try the following two buttons: press Options and Select together for 10 seconds (or until the LOC disappears). The pair of buttons held for 10 seconds also sets this control lock.
To find out the error code, turn the Program knob to the start position, Spin Only. Press Start/Pause to start the cycle. Press Cancel to stop the cycle and turn off the LEDs. Press Cancel again and within 5 seconds press and hold the Options and Start/Pause buttons until the LEDs start chasing. Then release the buttons. Turn the Program knob seven clicks clockwise from the Start position. The control will signal the last error code. To clear the error, press and hold Options and Start/Pause for 3 seconds. Then either unplug the washer for 5-8 seconds before plugging it back in. Alternatively, press and hold Options and Start/Pause together for a few seconds until the Wash LEDs appear.
HI. The term"LOC" will be an indication of the "Child Locking" feature that has been activated either by mistake or intentionally. This is a safety feature to prevent unwanted starts when children are present.
To unlock the controls, press "Options and Select" at the same time and hold for 10 seconds until ”LOC” is no longer displayed.
NOTE_ If the release procedure doesn't unlock the unit and the letters LOC continue to appear, this will be a strong indication of a severe fault within the main control board. try to power cycle the unit if this is the case. if the power cycling doesn't produce good results, replace the main control board assembly.
The LOC code merely means the control responded and locked the door. You'll find a tech sheet under the top panel of the machine to help guide you thru the diagnostic process, which is fairly involved.
LOC means it thinks the control panel is locked. This gives the ERR indication when you push the buttons. To unlock it you need to hold down the Options and Select buttons together until it reacts.
I know this may seem silly but - On the top right back corner of your washer hit it with medium force with your fist, this helps.

You can try clearing the code and then running the machine. Try colding down the pause and clear button simultaneously for three second s and the faul should clear Or try turning the knob around 9 times to clear the fault.
During normal operation, the display may show:
“ad” - dryer is in an auto dry cycle.
“dn” - cycle is done in auto dry.
“PF” - a power failure to the board has occurred.
“Err” - an error has been detected.
“LOC” - control lock is activated.
“PAU” - cycle has been interrupted.
The control panel may in *LOCKED* mode.
Press the *OPTIONS* and *SELECT* buttons at the same time and hold for about three seconds to unlock the control panel.
Make sure the detergent tray is fully closed too.
