I purchased a USB model 5610c and installed it in my Dell Demension model B110 running Windows XP. The installation went smoothly even getting the message that the modem had been installed and was ready to use however it will not dial and connect to the I net. I purchased it because my TRENDnet was so slow and kept droping off of the I net. I thought this would be worth a try. Everything I check tells me that the device is working properly but it will not dial audibly. I removed it and reinstalled and run the software again but still won't work. Please advise. Thank you. SOURCE: wrong installation of the modem using win xp sp3

Remove the device from your installed devices, then restart the computer and get it to detect the device from scratch.
Are you sure you have the right device drivers for it?

I did a wipe drive on my dell dimension b110 and installed xp on it and its telling me i dont have a network adapter, what should i do next

This is quite common what I do is go to btjunkie.org and download their 100.000 driver disk or their 50,000 one. Just go there and type in the search box XP drivers. You will have to download a CD full of the drivers. Then install the driver disc you downloaded and go to devices and then select the network device and point it to the drive where the large driver disc is and it should have the driver you need for your network adapter this is how I do it with lots of computers when I run into this situation.
You will also need a free torrent download program as well. Do this first! Click Here! I hope this assisted you. John

My Dell Demension Desktop B110 Model has a fan bellow the power supply fan motor. That so called fan that I'm speaking of so happens to cool the processor, through a funnel type housing that goes around...

there will be a sticker on the fan itself,
it starts "CNxx-xxxxx-",
the italicised x's above denote a 5-digit part number. call dell and ask for a fan, quote the part number and but one.
failing that most local computer repair shops can change the fan motor/blade unit and fit it into the original housing.

I am attempting to transfer my files and documents from a Maxtor One touch mini iii that was operating on an old Dell Demension computer running windows XP to my new Dell Studio computer running Windows 7

With pc turned off plug the USB drive into new PC and boot it up. Now on new pc it should auto detect and install the USB drive. Now goto Computer and you will see your USB drive there. Open that up now its as easy as copying anything you like and pasting to whever you want to keep it on new pc
