It sounds like your watch is on daylight saving time (DST) or it is set to the wrong time zone.

If you press the "Mode" button you will enter the settings menu and you should be able to change this by pressing one of the other buttons. Some experimenting will be needed.

Setting analogue time on a Crane & Viceroy Radio controlled watch

I haven't been able to locate your watch but since watches tend to be similar in operation, I suggest that you look at the instructions for my watch and try a similar settings.

Go to "http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw2735.pdf" and instructions for a Casio watch will appear. Go to page 4 and read instructions under "to adjust analogue time".

Having fitted a new battery I need to re-set a Crane & Viceroy atomic watch but cannot find the re-set button.

The reset is typically not a button. If you look at the back lid with the watch open you might have instructions to reset or "AC" the watch. Usually this involves using tweezers or lever to contact the battery and circuit board to clear it. My suggestion for this procedure is to see a watch maker/technician since the circuit board is easily damaged.

I have a Radio controlled watch manaufactured by Crane & Viceroy. I need to fit a new battery.I have bought a new battery and would like to have a go at fitting it as I have never done this before....

I haven't seen this watch but I suspect the thin metal peice is the battery retainer. If so look carefully to see if it clips over the module at provably several points. If so gently prise them up to release the retainer. Wipe off new battery and install the correct way up. Replace retainer ensure it is correctly clipped in at all points. Set about recalibration process. If it doesn't have clips perhaps it has screws. If so remove them etc. Pleae rate this solution.

I put a new battery in my timex WR50M and it is an hour ahead on

With the time showing, hold down the set button for about 3 seconds - it should switch to the city display. Use the receive/start/stop button to select your city (probably CHI) and press set again to save.

Crane and Viceroy ladies RC watch

Hi, Klik and Crane & Viceroy are excellent and robust watches, but due to the radio control batteries need to be changed more often than ordinary watches. Instructions for resetting the time on a Klik or Crane & Viceroy watch. With the watch face upwards and the buttons on the right assume the buttons to be; top button - "A", middle button "B" For setting the watch to GMT all hands need to point to 12 oclock exactly. To achieve this press Button A until the hands start spinning. Stop the spinning when the time reaches a couple of minutes before 12 oclock by repressing A. Inch the time forward by repressing Button A until all hands are at 12 oclock.(EXACTLY). Press Button B within 10 seconds and the time will advance 1 hour and stop. The radio signal will be picked up automatically and time will set itself in a few minutes. Notes: If you have radio dead spots avoid these when resetting the watch and do it away from magnetic or large metal objects. i.e. trays etc. If you are refitting a new battery and have a battery that isn't quite dead, do the advancement of time with the old battery and fit the new one near to 12 oclock to get the best life out of the new battery. If for any reason you want the watch to be in radio mode but read a time other than GMT ( no adjustment is needed for BST ), then instead of stopping the watch at 12 oclock stop it at the time in relation to 12 oclock. i.e. if you wanted the watch to read 30 minutes fast then stop the watch at 12.30. if you want any other info my email is; [email protected]
