I have one SA - EH700 which is 20 Years Old. It used to work fine but last time I've opened up the main amp. The control board was malfuntioning for those old switches. But during soldering out the bad switches , I accidently broke a 6.3v 100?F capacitor. I replaced the capacitor with same rating but my amp goes to fm mode after starting and the Mixer Tuner "SA - EH750" don't power up or sometime it powers up with wrong light patterns. (System Crash Type). I don't know what to do. Can someone help me out please?
Hi there i have one too sa-eh700 the probem is no audio output but at the headset output there is sound any help???
SOURCE: No Power
I mwas gonna suggest that you need the speakers attached but you stated later that it did the same thing with the speakers attached. The unit switching off after it checks its self is NOT a normal thing. TAKE IT BACK BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!! GOOD lUCK

.Hi jepenny
The board you are looking at is the standby cct and power switching PCB. It sounds like that is working, so you have probably lost power to the transformer primary or the transformer is open circuit. Check for blown fuses and replace with exact same type and rating.
Be sure to unplug at the wall before touching any internals!!
If you can find no blown fuses, the power transformer may have failed. Good luck, get back to me here is you need any more advice. Thanks for using "FixYa"

standby light comes on then cuts out. i removed the board that connects power and noticed charring underneath a heat sink with a 5 pin connector to the board. have tested with a circuit tester and get nothing from the pins. can i get a replacement or would you advise a new board

Most of these problems are rooted in a failed power amp module.
I'm working on an older technics unit but with the same troubles.
SOURCE: KRF-5030D i stand by mode
Does it go into standby when it's in another mode like : Cd or Video 1 or tape?
When you state that you checked the power amp IC's , how so did you do this?
Thanks n' let me know.
