There is a service flash, W10622771, for gas ranges of your model number--the bake burner ignitor is not lighting the gas--it's a direct spark ignition type. The ignitor is sparking but no ignition. Possible causes are (1) Wiring harness might be pinched between the bake/broil ignitors and the DSI board. (2) DSI mounting bracket may be contacting a solder joint on the back of the board. (3) Positioning of the ignitor and gas burner ignitor ports may be out of adjustment. (4) Ignitor electrode deterioration
Facing the range, the DSI board is behind the control panel on the left side, mounted in the bracket. You'll have to remove the back cover to expose the boards. BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE RANGE BEFORE DOING THIS. I can provide diagnostic mode if you want to proceed further.
Most modern ovens have a glow bar ignitor, not a spark ignitor. It will glow a bright orange and then the oven valve will click open and allow gas through and the burner lights. Many gas ovens have a small shutoff handle located on the silver appliance regulator, which is located either behind the stove or at the bottom behind the oven drawer. Make sure it has not been accidentally closed. It will cut off gas to the oven only.
The side burner ignitor wire connects to the spare lug on the main ignitior module. That one module, controls all the spark ignitors at each main burner and the side burner. When you press the button all ignitors spark at one time. I know it sounds stupid, but that's the way Charbroil's R & D designed it. I guess it saves money.
Hope this helped you to make the final hookup. Happy Grilling!!
Your oven ignitor is either out of adjustment or going bad. Turn off the gas. Open the oven and remove the lower oven cavity pan to access the ignitor. Set the oven to BAKE and watch the ignitor. If the spark is irregular, turn the oven control off and adjust the spark electrode closer to the frame. Turn the oven back on and observe the spark. Repeat this until you get the best consistent spark. If it stays irregular, replace the spark ignitor. Copy and paste the link below for a visual of the ignitor. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=2990525
Your second ignitor needs replacement. If you can measure the current to the ignitor, it should be at least 3A. I usually replace this kind of ignitors with a Maytag ignitor, which is slightly shorter. The original one, part number is PB040001 has been discontinued. Maytag ignitor part number is 12400035 If you buy it from the link above, coupon "New10" chops 10% off.
Put a torch on the probe. If the flame comes on them the thermocouple is weak.If nothing at all replace the safety valve. That is if you have a standing pilot. If you pilot is an electric one then it should be so bright it is hard to look at but if it is dim orange it is weak.
Hi. these ignitors are really easy to diagnose. all to do is inspect the wires leading from the control to the ignitor/burner assembly. if the wires are in good condition and, you know for sure that your control is fine. simply replace the failed ignitor.
for the top burners you have to get to see the ignitors so that you can see the spark, the spark have to spark like a spark plug in the car, it most be on the tip of the ignitor.if not. the spark it's sparking on the wroung spot, wires may be wet or broken. thats one of the reason, the second one, there is small holes fasing the spark ignition on the burners when grease blocks them, they will not light, you can clean them with a paper clip or a safety pin. for the oven, some ovens do not have the spark sistem, they have the ignitor wich it looks like a small bar about 4 inches long by 1 inch some of them are round. thats the part that needs replacing
did you do it your self or did you have some one else do it for you? I ask the question because the electricity most be unplug before you do it, If any of those wires made contact or spark. Now the safety valve it's also bad, you can test that by putting a tester for the 2 wires that connets to the ignitor to see if you are getting any power when thermostat is on. if there is power replace ignitor, if not getting power replacesafety valve. Or maybe your clock is set on automatic, Set it on manual.
