Copier problem - service code F1-70

How to set up the service mode:
Service mode:
1. Turn the power on.
2. Press [MENU] button to display Setup menu.
3. Select "Features".
4. Select "Current Software Info".
5. Press [0], [6], [2], [5], [9], [6] and [Info] buttons on
the remote control unit in this order. The following
screen appears.

fuser problem, push in order clear modes (yellow button) 1 0 7 and hold the red stop button for 5 seconds the screen will change, turn off copier red power switch and turn back on if problem comes right back you need a service call

by the look at your problems:

E051 - Horizontal registration sensor problems
E001 - Fixing temperature faulty
E805 - The Fan rotation problems

It can be that You have problems with DC contoller ( main pcb ) or the copier is in worst condition and there are faults on every segment.

For E001, you can try to reset error:

1. The following error codes cannot be reset by merely turning off and then on the main power.
They require resetting in service mode:
E000, E001, E002, E003, E004, E032, E717
1) Start service mode, and select COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.
2) Press the OK key.
3) Turn off and then on the main power.
2. Error codes other than the above may be reset by turning off and then on the main power.

Some error codes offer detail codes, which may be checked in service mode:
COPIER>DISPLAY>ERR (3rd block from the right)



BUT I THINK THAT THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO CALL SERVICE TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM OR YOU BUY NEW MACHINE:..

To enter the service mode:

1) Press the asterisk key ' ' on the control panel.
2) Press '2' and '8' on the keypad at the same time.
3) Press the asterisk key ' ' on the control panel

PS If not you have problem in fixing unit, probably the fixing thermistor and need to be replaced.

Press 'Function Clear' button, then '1' then '0' then '7' then press and hold 'Stop/Clear' button. The display will change to 'SP' mode. Now shut off the main power switch on the left side....wait 5 seconds with power off. Turn machine back on. If the code reapears, your Fuser Unit needs serviced.

Hello sir; H2 code require reset procedure as follow;
1, press "#", "interupt", "c", "interupt" these 4 keys.
2, enter 14 then press start.
3, turn power off and back on .

Hello sir; Let's try to reset;
1, press "clear mode", "107", then press and hold down "clear/stop" for about 3 second.
2, touch copier SP,
3, enter SP5-810-2 pres enter.
4, press 1, then turn power off and back on .

E000100-0001 is a secondary code to the initial problem. It means verbatum " The power has been turned off and back on again without resetting the error ". So, there was a previous error code that instructed the customer to turn off the main power and turn it back on in an effort to reset the code. Unfortunately this must have been an error code regarding the fusing system. Canon designed the copier to prompt the customer to power the copier off and back on for all error codes, and more often than not the copier can recover to some degree or another. Fuser codes on the other hand WILL NOT reset even though the display says to power off/on . You will need to go into service mode to reset the error. Press "additional functions"......then the numbers 2 and 8 at the same time and then additional functions again. If you have followed these steps properly you will now be in service mode and a different screen. Just follow these instructions. Press copier. Press functions.Press clear.Press err.Press ok. Power off and on . This WILL clear the code. However, if the problem still exists the code will return of course. THAT code is the one we need to troubleshoot! :-)

The service code is probably "loss of Power" error.
One thing you might try is getting a battery back up that is rated for a copier machine.
This way if the power goes out the battery back up would keep power going to the machine preventing the error code.
FYI... the battery back ups are NOT made for copiers. You need on that is rated to back up a regular copy machine.

turn on the copier and quickly press * (with the little head around it) then 2 and 8 at the same time, then the * again... this should put you in service mode. now press copier >funtcion>clear>err>ok. now turn the copier off and back on, If the code comes back call your service local service tech.
