Would like to unsubscribe to facebook. however I dont seem to have a MY Account button that will take me to the place to deactivate the account , can you help

To deactivate your account:

1. Click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page.
2. Select Settings.
3. Click Security in the left column.
4. Choose Deactivate your account then follow the steps to confirm.

All you can do is deactivate your account. If you want to, you can delete ALL your pictures status' and posts. Once deactivated it will disappear over time. However if you try to open another account with the same email addy it will reactivate the aforementioned account.

How to cancel you membership;

1. Proceed to SpeedDate.com and log in to view your home screen.
2. Click the "More" link in the upper-right corner of the page, and then click "Account Settings."
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the "Deactivate" link next to "Deactivate My Account."
4. Click the "Deactivate My Account" button.
5. Click a radio button to indicate why you want to delete your SpeedDate account.
6. Click the "Deactivate Account" button.
7. Type a statement to explain what you would improve about the SpeedDate service.
8. Click the "Deactivate My Account" button. This deletes your SpeedDate account and displays a confirmation message.

To unsubscribe you have to deactivate your account.
To do this, first you have to log into it.
next, at yje top of the page on the right side, is a selection for account, click that.
This will give you a drop down menu with several choices.
Select "account settings".
Next go to the bottom of that page, and click on "deactivate" .
This takes you to the deactivation section, where you can give a reason for deactivating your account.
If you do decide to unsubscribe from facebook, make sure you click on the opr-out box right by the confirmation button at the bottom of the page.
This will deactivate your account, as well as stop all e-mails from facebook as well.

The process is a very short and simple procedure that you have to take to deactivate your facebook account.
All you have to do is to follow the instructions below and you should be able to deactivate your facebook account.
1. You have to log in to your facebook account,
2. Click on the account button on the top right corner of the screen,

you can deactivate your facebook account follow this steps,

step 1. log in facebook with your account which you want to deactivate,
step 2. go to account right hand top corner,
step 3. select account setting,
step 4. in the setting you can see deactivate account click on that, this will ask you for confirmation select yes to deactivate account and your account is deactivate now.

1. Step 1 Access the Facebook home page and log in using the email address and password you originally registered with (see Resources below). If you've forgotten you password, click on "Log in" and follow the link to reset your password.
   
2. Step 2 Head to the "My Account" page using the link from the menu.
   
3. Step 3 Follow the "Click Here" link under the Deactivate Account section. You will be taken to a short form to fill out before you close your account.
   
4. Step 4 Tell Facebook why you're leaving. Select the radio button next to the reason for deactivating your account. There is also space to write other comments.
   
5. Step 5 Opt in or out of Facebook emails. Even if you account is deactivated, your friends can still invite you to events or ask you to join groups. If you don't want any email from Facebook at all, check the appropriate box.
   
6. Step 6 Click the "Deactivate" button. You will be taken to a page confirming your account deactivation.
