Printer will not communicate with computer. tried unplugging it also unplugged computer and tried restarting. Green light blinking and alternating betwee 1,C,E. Amber light blinking at bottom left

If the printer continues to blink after several seconds, follow these steps:

3. Unplug the power cord from the power source. Wait 30 seconds.

• Make sure there is a direct connection from the printer to the computer. Remove scanners, switchboxes, and so on.
• Try another cable.
• Try connecting the printer to another computer. If the printer prints, then the problem was with the main computer, possibly a software or device conflict

• Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
• Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
• restart the computer
• try to download drivers from the website
• after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
• then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

Try to unplug the power cable as well as the USB cable of your printer for few minutes. Then plug it back in, check the lights again.

Only Solution is Re-burn printer firmware.

the problems are :-

• cartridges are not recognised or installed
• there is a paper jam.

I was printing a homework assignment from my professor, I received an error message that something may be invalid with what he sent. I tried to print and everthing just jammed, the cartridges are stuck to the right and noting will move. I have turned it on and off and even unplugged it from the Computer, but when restarted nothing still happens there is still no communication with my omputer. Is it shot or can still use it? Hello! Try this:
1. Unplug the power cord

2. While pressing the ON button, plug the power cord back in.
The power light should flash an orange/yellow color.
Continue pressing the ON button, and press the RESUME button 4 times. The light changes every time you press it.

3. Release both buttons, and restart the printer.

The printer should now stop blinking and operate as usual.

A couple suggestions. Unplug the usb cable from the pc to the printer, make sure there is no paper jammed in the machine, unplug the machine from the wall and see if you can move the print head left to right freely. If nothing is obstructing it plig the power cord in with out the usb cord plugged in. See if the machine goes to ready. If all of these fail, that means the main board has been damaged by a power surge, and it would be cheaper to replace the machine than repair it. Good luck!
