This sewing machine vendor sells a needle plate for your Kenmore. Because the needle hole in the plate is wide, it most likely has zig-zag capability. A straight stitch machine would not need a wide needle hole if it sews only forward & backward.

Sewing machine kenmore 19365 will not work. Keep getting error 1 Keep getting error 1. Had this before and took it to repair. Soon as they plugged it in, it worked. They said once it was unplugged you have to reset the machine. Have tried numerous times and waited 5 Min before plugging it. Turns on and gives me Error1
