Remove the battery imediately, the memory card and the lens. Place the
camera body, lens and memory card in a warm dry and place for several
days to dry out completely. When the camers is dry, insert the battery, lens and memory card, turn on the camers and set the date and time. If the camers does not work charge the battery and try again. If it still does not work then you need to send it to the Nikon service centre for repair.
If u have Digital Cam and you want to protect then don't touch the cam lans because if u touch it and try to clean them u scratch the cam lens cover..after do this the pic who u capture is not so good and the life of the Digital cam is too low ...so b careful about your cam lens and cover it very carefully...if u want to clean your cam lens then u use a cotton..because cotton is less harmful for cam lens as compare to another source ..Thanks..

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.
You must report your digi cam to the nearest showroom of SONY. If its under waranttee period then u will have to pay less charges for maintenence.. So its better to repalce the lens screen as soon as possible..
Has the Lumix got a thread on the front of the lens where the lens cap fits. if so see if there is a size written inside the lens cap. This will tell you what size threaded adaptor will be required on the front of the lens to fit the ring light to. be warned as this may cut the corners off your photos then the lens is in wide focus mode. Some lenses may not allow adaptor to be fitted to them as the lens element moves in and out and may hit the ring light and cause damage to your camers. Study the camera first.
i dropped mine. and the lens was stuck and it made those sounds. we messed around with it and kept opening and closing it. and after about it an hour. it just started working again.
