Check if IP adress, subnet mask and the gateway are correct on the printer setings.
Try to ping the IP address from the START-Run...(write CMD) and write ping IP adress.???.???.???.???
check if had responce.

Ethernet cable Must be plugged in and the printer must be ready for about 60 seconds before you enter the menu or the Ethernet settings will not show up.
make sure you have the current drivers for this printer are loaded. and select the wired set up configuration type. go to control panel select printers and see if the printer is visable to your pc. if not start over and reconfigure a new printer. and
follow the prompts. and may i also suggest going to there web site and check for the latest and the greatest on your model.
- if connected via usb ,check cable and usb port - check in properties if printer status is enabled and use printer with connection or use printer offline is selected
- if connected via ethernet ping the ip adress and check cable -if connected right on the copier without a switch in between you need a reversed ethernet cable else you need a straight one through the switch
