anmd its gas, well then more than likely it was dropped, when it was dropped the graphite ignitor craked or broke due to shock impact,
i delivered units for 5 years and saw this numerous times.
I would tell you to fix it your self, but its brand new, if the company you bought it from has service they should give you a free service call and part
POSSIBLY BAD DOOR SWITCH OR AT LEAST THE PART OF IT THAT TURNS LIGHT ON AND OFF. IT SHOULD BE A 3 BLADE SWITCH 1 ON ONE END AND 2 ON OTHER OR YOU HAVE NOT SCREWED BULB IN FAR ENOUGH. i HAD TO CHANGE MY BULB TOO WHEN NEW ONE INSTALLED I DIDN'T TURN IT FAR ENOUGH IT WAS STIFF GETTING IT IN.
you can call whirlpool at 800-253-1301 and they will set up and recommend a service company that is authorized to repair your unit. just let them know its less then a year old and they will get you taken care of. squeaks are hard to find, but you need to get it set up before your warranty runs out.
it could be several things but the element could should be the last part i would check first if you are still using fuses change them both if that doesnt work call for service call a good service man stay away from major companies they are expensive i know i worked for most of them
