JVC HR -J655EK Video Stuck

It sounds like the remote you have, the JVC 076D0FB010, does not have the capability to program future recordings on your JVC HR-XVC1U or HR-XVC27U machines. I read the instruction manual one more time. It said to tune my TV to Video and voila, the VCR worked. All JVC VCR's seem to need the tv tuned to Video to play back. I had an older JVC VCR and I had to do the same thing with it.

my JVC HR-DVS3u Mini DV recorder deck keep displaying use cleaning tape, I use the jvc cleaning tape and it still ask for it.

Initially, I am inclined to think that nothing is wrong. It is just most likely that that particular tape was recorded in a different speed other than what your VCR is capable of playing. This is a form of compression wherein a longer recording/playing time is squeezed into the same type/kind of tape. The various settings are SP, LP, EP or even an XP. Pls click here to give you an idea of the recording time/speed at different settings.

This model is a DVD player not a DVD recorder. Only the VCR can record.

Press and hold the Progressive Scan button for more than 3 seconds. It should clear right up.
