Question about Panasonic PT-51HX42 51" Rear Projection Television

Three blinks is short protection in this model.
98% chance one of the protect resistors around the two STK-392-110 convergence chips is bad.
Good news here----total parts cost would be under 25 dollars on EBAY. I use a seller there.
I also have start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair in this set.
They tell you everything you will need and how to do the repair.
Let me know if you want help or the instructions--I can tell you how to look to see if the protect resistors are bad.
This is a very common problem and I have fixed hundreds of these sets with this problem.

SD Tech: I have a panasonic 47" rear projection and it just shut off. The red light is blinking 3 times when I turn it on. Your advice and directions are sounding very helpful. Can you email me the repair instructions at [email protected]? Thank you for the help!
SD Tech, I also have a Panasonic, PT-47WXC43G with the 3-blink error code. I have read that it may be better to upgrade to the STK392-150/180 as those chips will tolerate heat better - is that true and if so, do different resistors need to be used? Are there complete repair kits with the resistors available? I would like to have the instructions to make the repair also. Can you email them to me at [email protected]?
