SOURCE: jvc gr dvl520u - won't turn on or charge

Take out the battery and clean the gold connectors. I had the same problem for months and finally I tried this and it worked perfectly afterward.

My JVC GR-D30U will not close when I put in a new cassette tape. It makes a sound like it wants to but open right back up.

Condensation message appear? Leave it on for sometime eventually it will disappear, if not visit your nearest JVC Service Center.

How do I know where to attach the cables to upload

since it's an analogue camera and using a standard tape format, you might as well purchase a VHS-C adapter cassette (GB£10 from several photography stores) and run through your VHS VCR into an analogue video capture card.

I need a VHS adapter for the JVC Mini DV tapes

not available - the tapes are different widths for a start, and the two formats use different compression techniques. Adapters are available for VHS-C to VHS because the tape width and the recording format are the same.

JVC GR-D30U

If the camera becomes damp or cold and brought into a warm atmosphere damp forms in the mechanism which would cause the tape to stick and become damaged or fouled.

leave the camera to warm up for a few hours and the fault should clear.

If not the most common reason is the dew sensor has failed and needs replacing
