If you go to this URL you will see a screw that is #1 in the exploded view.

If the chuck on your drill is open you might be able to access this screw. It appears that this screw holds the chuck onto the drill and removing it might allow you to remove and then replace the chuck. I am not 100% sure of this, but it looks like a good place to start.

Drillbit stuck

Can not see what model you have. Is it a keyless chuck or an SDS chuck? With a keyless chuck hold the machine in a vice by the drill bit. now tap the chuck with a hammer or pin punch & hammer. DONOT hit the chuck on the jaws gut on the rim around them. I have had success using this method. If it is an SDS type chuck pull the chuck cap up as far as possible along the bit them if there are any ring springs you will have to try remove them then slide the sleeve up the bit, now you should be able to remove any steel balls. If the bit does not come out now hold bit in vice as before and tap on tool holder.

Try holding the bit in a vice and gently tap the chuck off of the bit and see it it releases the pressure on the jaws.

I have just purchased a Makita 8391DWPETK 18V Cordless Combi Drill - how do i actually put a drill bit in? Do I need to take off the plastic ring?

The large black part of the chuck should turn left and right to extend (close) and retract (open) the three chuck teeth that hold the bit in place. Turn the chuck to open it far enough to get your bit fully in the chuck then turn it closed to hold the bit in. When the teeth make contact turn the chuck a bit further to get it tight enough that the bit won't slip. When you get used to it, sometimes it's easier to hold the chuck lightly and turn it by lightly squeezing the trigger to turn the chuck with the drill motor.

Can't get the head lamp bulbs out removed The cover unplugged the light pulled the Wire harness down but the bulbs won't Budge

Almost all headlight bulbs have a bayonet mount with a rubber gasket. The bulbs have to be turned about 1/4 turn, usually counterclockwise, to remove them. If you have the new bulb, look closely at the mount on it. It will be helpful in knowing how the bulbs are installed. If the bulb has contacts that you push into the holder, the holder is what you need to get out. It will have the bayonet mount. Sometimes the bayonet is hard to turn if the gasket is stuck to the housing. However, don't use any solvent or lubricant because if it gets into the housing it can damage the mirror coating. Even moisture inside the housing can damage the coating, so be sure you install the new bulb correctly with the gasket in place. Be sure not to touch the new bulb with your bare fingers. The oil from your skin will burn on the bulb surface and shorten its life and light output. Never touch any halogen bulb with your bare fingers.

A bit is stuck in the chuck of my Bosch drill

Hello. Wrap a towel around the chuck and use a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks to put a little force on the chuck. J.

Keyless chuck is stuck open

That can happen if the jaws inside the chuck, usually 3 triangular pieces get jammed together. With chuck facing down tap chuck several times to loosen jaws. If that doesn't work spray a small amount of WD-40 into chuck and try again

Grease is leaking out. it might be a cracked

Pry the rubber tip off the bit holder with a small screw driver, then begin removing the snap rings untill all the parts are off the bit holder,(you will see how they come apart so I'm not going to explain it) With a magnet remove the (4) pins that hold the bit holder in, remove the bit holder. The shaft seal is probably leaking so you have to remove the whole gear housing. Turn the selector knob on the side of the drill to about 7-8 o'clock, push the red button in and pry it off. Remove the 4 bolts holding the housing on and remove the housing. You must remove the seal from the inside, you can't remove it from the outside. The rest is pretty straight forward. There is a retainer holding the bearing in the housing, you will have to clean the grease out to see it .Pull the bearing, push the seal out. Reverse the operation to assemble the hammer.

I know lots of stuff to do, if this is too much you may want to take it to a Bosch service center, it shouldn't take more that 30 min.

Black decker drill keyless chuck won.t open !

hold the back of the chuck with channel locks or a vice and use the same channel locks on the front and open the chuck manually it should work and you can get to the screw to replace it or the hand chuck. this can be a little frustrating but hang in there and you'll be a pro shortly.
