I have a SVP CDC-7530 digital camera which I feel has reached the end of its life given that as it turns on, but no one is home. I turn it on, but whether you have it connected to a PC, or on any of the camera/viewing/recording setting nothing shows on the LCD & it won't turn off until you open the battery cover.

You can purchase a card reader/USB cable for the SVP CDC here. I tend to lose camera cables quite easily and purchase a lot of them from this site.

the video output slot serves as a connection point for usb info transfer. you need a cord that's standard usb on one end and the same slot as the camera port on the other. once you plug it up it will automatically be recognized on your computer
