Bearing - Hinge NOISE CULPRIT ON SIDE BY SIDE?

Hi again Bnewberry, thanks
I did run across something called a BEARING - HINGE. It's a pretty cheap little plastic cone like shaped piece that apparently slips into the lower door hole or over the bolt thingy that goes into or on the L bracket?
Is this the culprit?

Only other missing thing is a lower washer , i think.

If I get the right one, is it likely to make noise go away?
thanks so much, I am really looking forward to your reply or opinion.
thanks, thanks, and more thanks.

Hello,

240328203 is one bearing you need, 240457701 is the other.
They work together on the Bottom side of the door

1. To hold the door in an open position
2. To close the door when it is partially open.

240457701 screws to the hinge its called a Plate-Door closer
240328203 screws to the door its called a Bearing-HInge(Black)

Let me know how you make out. Hope this helps

Bill

Sounds like you might be missing 240457701

Once you get the right parts in the right place your noise will go away.

    Thanks Again,

    Bill

Lg French door refrigerator has slight grinding noise when open/closing right side door

Could be the hinge, most likely the lower hinge. Fridge hinges usually have a plastic insert in the door to prevent metal to metal contact. This insert sometimes wears prematurely and then metal may start to make contact , thus the grinding sound. The insert can be changed fairly easily if you are so inclined.

Right Door is making loud popping noise

After reading these posts, I fixed my refrigerator door in less than 5 minutes. The little black plastic cam on the bottom hinge was loose. To fix it, take the hinge cover off of the top with an 8mm socket, and remove the three 8mm screws holding the top hinge on. Remove the door by lifting up off of the bottom hinge and set it aside. On the bottom hinge is a black plastic cam held on by an 8mm screw. The screw on mine was really loose. Tightening it and putting the door back on made it work like new. You probably don't have a bad cam, just a loose one.
