Hi liam, this is a common problem and quite easy to fix.
Unfortunately Samsung decided to use inferior generic power boards with their sets. They pretty much use the same power supply for the 32, 37 and 40 inch TV's. This is a great idea for production, unfortunately the power supply fails on the 40 and 42 inch models because of load. I find these power boards pretty cheap on Ebay and replacing them is a breeze. Just keep an eye out for the refurbished boards, since these have been beefed up a bit to compensate for the extra power drain.

I have an LG 60PV400 plasma TV. While watching TV the screen goes black but the sound keeps playing. Sometimes the sound will just keep playing. Sometimes the TV while shut off.

Hi Joseph

Not sure what the LED codes will be. LG Tech support would know.
Is it under warranty still? If so, then get it to a service centre.

If not, Then you might want to check for leaky Electrolitic Capacitors.
This is the biggest ploblem with modern Digital (computer) Flat Panel TV's
Might be a little early to spot the "Bulging" or leaking until it gets worse.
If your up to it & you can spot the bad caps & unsolder & replace for a few bucks.

Good Luck

Dell 22' monitor Black screen Green light stays on.

well i have a dell 22'' monitor and it did exactly the same thing , turns out its a fault with the invertor drive transistors ( these power the fluro screen light ) , i'm in the uk , but i would take it straight back to walmart along with proof of purchase and tell them it dont work and ask for a repair /replacement under warranty

My battery only last 7 hours instead of 8 hours I have only had it a week

Battery drainage can be caused by many ways. Although if the manufacturer states that it can play 'up to' eight hours, then it's possible with heavy usage, bright screens and powering on & off the device may possibly shorten the battery life.

If your mp3 player has the option, you can always dim the screen brightness, let it go into blank screen after few seconds, and do little to conserve the battery. It's not too bad considering you're only one an hour short. I'd be concerned if you were getting less than half of what the manufacturer states.

Samsung 40 inch LCD LNS4092D No Picture

You need to check the back light is still on when the screen is blank (check through the back).

If the back light is on, need to change the Powwer Board.
but,
no back light, need to change the inverter.

Yes, you do need to get the LCD repair before the warranty expires. Call the manufacturers to find an authorized service center near you.
Good Luck.

Samsung 40 no picture

If it is only 6 months old you probably still have a warranty. This is definitely a hardware issue, and unless you are comfortable taking your new TV apart, I would contact Samsung for repair.
