Question about JVC Everio GZ-HM400 Camcorder

I've a JVC GZ HM400 and when i upload the videos onto the computer they dont play correctly.the video starts to pause while the audio runs perfectly.does anybody know what the problem is?i think it records perfectly but its to do with the way i upload it to the laptop or the software i use..

You need a new video card for your computer. It is an easy thing to fix if you have a desktop, but there's not much you can do if it is a laptop. To make sure it is recording fine, take the A/V Cable and plug it into a TV and see if it plays correctly. If you don't mind if the videos aren't HD then take it out of AVCHD mode by changing the quality in the menu. If might play better on your computer if the files are not full 1080p HD.

Similar to TOD, MOD is a kind of recording format being used in digital tapeless camcorder like JVC, Panasonic, Canon. MOD video format is comparable to XDCAM EX, HDV and AVCHD.

How do i upload my videos from this device onto my mac computer?


connect it with usb adapter then if connected copy and paste your files to your mac,if not detected,you must install driver for that hardware

Cannot get sound after backing up onto PC


sir, im using USB cable too when im uploading my videos from my camcorder to my computer but im using ULEAD movie producer or any ULEAD products because its so easy to use and i almost suggest to those who have problem with their uploading software and after they used it, they agree with me. hope that helps!

Pause button


I really don't have much of a solution besides - try hitting the play button again. Most times camcorders have the Play/Pause button on the same button. I am not familiar with this type of camera, but you can try it and hopefully it will work for you guys.
