I have godex 1100 barcode printer which is not working. It doesn't print barcode. it responds the print command from the computer and tries to print but halt immidiately blinking status light. It gives two beeps.

Reboot computer. Disconnect the printer from the mains, count to 20 and plug back in. Try again.

If that doesn't work, reinstall the invoicing software, and printer software.

Hi.. Just follow these steps, hope this may trouble shoot your barcode printer.
1) Restart Your Computer/ Barcode Printing S/w / Barcode Printer/ and try now.
2) Even if it does not work, check the cable connectivity with printer and system
3) Even it is not working, try printer calibration or labels feed options in printers.
4) Check the proper sensor adjustments in printers,

Remove the printer driver from your computer ... get the latest driver that is compatible with your OS, reload and try again ...

Sometimes this problem occures when you install a later model wireless router.
Try installing the latest Wireless card driver on the XP computer and the LAN card drivers on the other computers except the MAC.

Simple but, did you change which printer you wanted the computer to print to??

Not sure if this will help but if you right click on the printer and go to properties ( when your in printers and faxes ) and go to the ports tab I think it is and un tick the check box that says bi directional support and try it again.

Also what error are you getting thats printed off ?

what lights are on the printer and where are you getting the driver from, if the disc then try the latest driver from the hp website

Pls make sure that your computer recognizes your Printer, if it doesn't it would never respond to any print command you sent
check to see (if the computer recognizes)
1- go to start then select printer
2- select your desired printer - right click
3- go to properties
4- select print PRINT TEST PAGE
5- check the message on your paper

if it doesnt then you might have installed a wrong driver

This is defendant on the program you use to print labels with. The printer responds to either a print job sent to the driver (like a standard windows printer). Or you can send an EPL program to the printer in order to use internal barcode generating features of the printer. The dimensions of the barcode are controlled via the EPL script.
