Question about Nova Development Photo Explosion Deluxe Version 3

I have version 3.0 and windows 7 and it wont load. i see the start screen with the lady on it but nothing ever happens. I really want to use this program like i do on my other pc.

To run the Program Compatibility troubleshooter

Open the Program Compatibility troubleshooter by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under Programs, click Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

If you cannot install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the troubleshooter, browse to the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The troubleshooter is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

Depending on what operating system you are using, you may need the upgrade to the firmware or the software. if you have installed the drivers from Datacard, goto start, programs, Datacard printers, and you should have a monitor selection for this printer, launch it, and you will have to maximize the window from the icon on the bottom right of your screen, this monitor is the key to having the printer status and abilities to print with windows, without this monitor loaded (and it doesn't load properly in version 3 of the software with windows 7) nothing will happen, once it shows at the op "connected" then you can read firmware and software version at the bottom of the screen (I will need that information to help more precisely) also you should see a "test print card" on the left set of buttons of the menu, I suggest launching this if the printer is seen as connected. if it isn't you can try to use "resume".

It seems that your machine is suffering a fatal error on startup. If the blue screen flashes up with some non-sensical writing on it then that is the error I speak of. This condition can be caused by a faulty piece of hardware, most commonly the hard disk drive in my experience. BUT it can also be just a faulty file in the Operating System on your machine and may not be a hardware problem at all.

Either way, the first ting I would do in your position is to reinstall your Operating System. You are using Windows 7 I see. Windows 7 is a good OS. In order to try to recover your computer you will need an original Windows 7 DVD disk. Insert the disk into the DVD drive and then follow the instructions at this like here...

Is there more information you can provide? Examples, once I click the memory stick in, nothing happens on the screen with windows version? What size is the memory stick? Is it new from the store? What appears on the screen? If you open 'my computer' do you see it as a choice? If so, what happens when you click on it? Does it recognize it but not load the data off the stick?

What program or browser are you using when this happens. Does this happen on a full screen? If so try using it in a window. Close all applications and programs before starting the cam.

Do you have the correct version of Windows 7? You cannot load a 64 bit onto a 32 bit system, you cannot load Ultimate onto Home.

Do you still boot to the original op sys, what was it?

Hi there !

If there is problem on loading you window 7. Try to run it on safe mode by pressing F8 when starting to reboot your computer. When running on safe mode, windows will automatically fix some error regarding some loading problems.

After press F8, just choose run on safe mode and it will read and fixed all errors on drivers. Computer can crashed because of faulty drivers installed or too many same drivers installed. This solution will fix your problem.

Place your windows cd/dvd in the tray and boot to the cd. When asked if you want to install windows, there will be a repair option further down towards teh bottom, or you will be asked to click R like before. The repair only works if the cd is in the tray.

Downloading Canoscan Toolbox is required in addition to the driver.
