Switching JVC MP3 audio deck from truck to car?

Hi, Purchased a JVC deck from Best Buy - want to remove deck - have truck's factory deck reinstalled - sell truck - give JVC deck to son - have JVC deck reinstalled into his Neon. Is this something Best Buy will do and roughly how much? Thanks MT

Hi imthomas,

Yes, Best Buy can provide the installation services you are asking about. A basic car deck install is $49.99. This pricing can vary depending upon the complexity of the installation, number of speakers, etc. I would recommend talking to one of the car install specialists at your local Best Buy store to get an estimate for your particular situation.

Best regards,
Ken

Hi I have JVC car audio and now there is problem in the car audio.please suggest me where can i show it or send it for repare. my email is # [email protected]

Hello manishchahal,

Your best option is to use JVC's online factory service locater. Click on the "Service Locator" link at the left and then put your JVC model number and location in the form. If you want to remove the receiver and send it for repair, you should contact whichever of the Factory Service Centers is closest to your location. Contact the JVC factory service center toll-free at (800) 252-5722 for specific packing and shipping instructions.

Hope this helps.

Aux Input on Back?

Aux input on the back depends if there was a aux button on the front and the brand of deck. If one is there then you dont need Best Buy to do it. removing the deck is not as hard as people make it seem. The best way to remove the deck to check is find a manual for removal; exp: chiltons, hayne or even get it from crutchfield. Be careful though, some decks may have the aux button and a 3.5mm jack in the back but the jack is sometimes used for a remote. So get the mauals for the deck you have and the manual for removal.

Connecting a mp3 player to my cd deck

Hi Rembo,

From reading the manual on your deck, you do not have an Auxilliary input for something like a MP3 player.  now if you want to hear your MP3 player on the Deck , you will need to get you a Fm transmitter with auxilliary input.  I think they have those at Best Buy.  Thats where you hook your MP3 head phone output to the AUXilliary input on the FM transmitter.  You would have to tune your Tuner on the deck to the frequency of the Transmitter.  Coolest thing to do with your Deck is to download all the songs you love in MP3 format on your computer, and burn about 150 to 250 of those songs on one CDR. Then play that in your deck.
