Cmadiga, do you know the "flashlight test" that all CCFL back-lit lcd monitor owners should know how to perform and interpret the results of to evaluate STATE of monitor "switch-mode-power-supply/ ccfl inverter supply"? Is pc working fine with subbed-in good monitor? Retrevo . com lists unit as "time to retire??? Just read the FIXYA profiles and testimonials of "budmrtn" "buddymc" "12fixlouie" to find out how you might be able to get another 1 to 3 years use by doing a DIY repair to unit's SMPS board. If you investigate SMPS, "it's FREE!!! If you visit YOUTUBE for video clips of owners/technicians repairing their monitor's SMPS's, it's FREE!! Do your research first, Then let me know what you will do to fix unit or if you will just trade it for new. Common symptom tagline is "black screen of death" which is very common for ALL BRANDS of lcd monitors with bad, (swollen, leaky) poor quality electrolytic filter capacitors that cause prwer-supply to go into "shutdown mode". 12fixlouie

Check first if data cable is properly fitted behind the cpu. Next is to check your power supply, see if the fan behind cpu is working. If your power supply is running good, problems will go down the line, the Motherboard. Remove all devices (hard disk, cards, memory, etc) just the motherboard, just to see if the motherboard is working right. Your should be hearing a beep sound indicating that the board is alive. If yes, you may reinstall the rest of the devices you removed. If still no display, replace video card.
