The auto mode isn't working on my zilla digital 24-7 power center, when on auto mode no lights come on?

Copy following link to identify timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#zilla
Is this a new timer??? Or old timer that stopped working?
Replace battery.
Press reset button to clear all memory traces before programming.
Check programming for overlaps and mismatched day(s) of operation.
Test outlet for correct polarity and grounding using circuit analyzer.
Make sure light bulb is turned ON. Timers do not reach out and rotate on-off switch.
Make sure outlet has at least 80% rated voltage shown on load label. For example 115 volts x 80% = 92 volts

About your specific programming needs:
Zilla selects 12 o'clock as changeover time between am-pm.
So if you want 8:02 to 7:59 operation, then that is under the 12 hours, but it crosses the 12 o'clock am-pm changeover.
Workaround: Shorten your times to less than 12 hours just like you have done.
But set current time differently so 8-8 falls under either am or pm, but does not cross am-pm. The timer does not actually know what the current time is, so simply fudge by amount needed.

Need instructions to set time for 8 outlet power Strip timer Utilitech

Copy following link to identify power strip timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#striptimer

Zilla, Utilitec, GE strip timers use basically the same format for programming.
For each ON time, there has to be a corresponding OFF time, and days for On and Off times cannot conflict.
Best guess: you have a conflict or incomplete on-off program.

With Zilla timer, there is added level of complexity since the ON-OFFs are set for different day and night outlets.

Add a comment with the exact timer model number so expert can read the manual alongside you.

My power strip, that I paid good money for about 7 years ago, is now vibrating and making a noise during the night time. Obviously, this is when it is not in use and does not seem to have the problem...

Question posted under analog power strip.
Analog timer has small clock motor.
When the plastic motor gears wear down, the clock begins to make noise.
Might not hear the noise when TV is turned on.

To get analog timers to last longer, be sure to keep timer in dust-free environment so nothing clogs the gears.
I don't know how to take apart this timer without breaking it.

1) There is no repair for defective timer.
According to manual, under Initial Timer Operation: yellow outlet is ON at 4:00 pm.
Make sure Mode button is not set to OFF.

2) Scheduling timer: Think about the zilla timer this way:
Day is 12 hours and night is 12 hours.
Your total schedule is only 9 hours, but it overlaps day and night.

If timer 'night' starts at 6pm and ends at 6am, then your programming overlaps day and night.
If timer 'night' starts at 12midnight and ends at 12noon, then your programming still overlaps day and night.

3) To solve zilla time problem, set current time differently.
4) Or buy GE or Utilitec 24-hour programmable power strip

On this timer is the light color of time Day and the blue cover on time for night?

You posted under GE 7-day random vacation timer.
This timer shows 7 days of the week.
The nighttime hours are white with blue background.
Daytime hours are blue with white background.
Timer dial rotates clockwise, and make 1 revolution each week.
To set timer, manually rotate dial until current day and hour line up with 'time now' pointer.
Move slide switch to TIMER ON.
Timer randomly turns on-off at preset times.
To watch timer in action: turn lamp ON, plug lamp into timer, plug timer into outlet, and then manually rotate dial clockwise several rotations and watch lamp turn on-off.

I have completed the setup of my Day-Timer Mwave Tx12626x Timex Electronic 7 Day Timer. I turned on my television, then plugged it from the outlet, then plugged it into the timer. The TV will not turn on...

Open following link to identify your timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#Timex

1) Don't expect the timer to turn on the TV picture.
I have my TV plugged into power strip.
Each night the power strip is off. When power strip resumes next day, the TV is READY to be turned on with the remote control. The picture does not pop up when the power strip goes on.
Same is true for timer.
Try your power strip and see if picture turns on after power strip is turned off-on.
Timer will work same as on-off switch on power strip.

2) Is the power strip interfering with timer?
Plug timer directly into wall outlet and see what happens.
Add a comment and let others know what happened.

3) Battery: Timer requires 2-hours for initial battery charge.
Battery back-up protects programs when power is off.
I don't know if battery is made for repeated on-offs if you turn off power strip each night.
These batteries are not replaceable however timer has 1 year limited warranty.

4) Plug lamp into timer and see if timer operates lamp. This will say if TV electronics are interfering with timer operation.

5) Load: This timer says it is for appliances, which implies it should be rated typical 15A 1800 watt

Have set the timer to come on at the same time every day and off at the same time every day but when I put it Auto mode does not turn on. What step am I missing

You posted under GE dial-type power strip timer.
GE has 2 different models: 57698 & 15090
15090 has instruction manual, and 57698 doesn't.
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#57698

GE also makes 15077 digital power strip timer:
The digital power strip has Auto mode.

1) If programming has overlaps, or if programs are set for conflicting days, then timer will not operate as expected. Review programming steps by pressing PROG button.

2) If current time is not set, then programs will not operate. Press and HOLD clock button while setting current time.

3) I test timers, and sometimes manuals are confusing so I write out the steps to make sure I understand correctly.

4) It is possible that timer is defective.

How do I set a plug in timer GE 24 hour Model 15075? There are tiny switches for every hour and can be pushed towards the inner circle or pushed outward. And there is a turning arow near the center and a...

Following link has a close-up photo of on-off pins on GE 15075 timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15075

Pins are located around timer dial
The pins divide 24-hour day into 1/2 hour segments
Pins are out for ON
Pins are inward for OFF
Notice that numbered dial is divided into dark and light areas ... the dark areas are PM, light areas AM.

For example you are connecting chicken coop lamp to this timer.
Turn lamp on and make sure bulb is working.
Plug lamp into timer.
Set pins in and out as follows: all pins outward between 4:30 pm on light part of dial to 8:00 pm on dark part of dial. And then set all pins outward between 5:00am on dark part of dial to 7:00 am on light part of dial.
Plug timer into outlet
Move switch located on top to TIMER ON
Manually rotate timer dial clockwise to see lamp turn on and off.
Lastly, set current time: Manually rotate timer dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial. So if current time is high noon, then rotate dial until 'sun' symbol located on light part of dial lines up with arrowhead.
As time passes, the timer dial rotates, and the pins click circuit on-off.
To override timer, move switch to outlet-on.

How to set a GE outdoor timer product ID 51587 ?

GE 51587 has same instructions as Tork 601A single-outlet outdoor 24-hour mechanical timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Tork-601A-Manual.pdf

Plug timer into outdoor outlet.
To set current time, rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.
Dial is divided into light and dark sections that represent day or nighttime hours.
Reset time after power outage.

96 pins located around timer dial are used to set on-off times.
Each pin represents 15 minutes in 24 hour day
Move pins in-or-out with fingernail or pen to set timer on-off functions.
With GE timers, usually when pins are out, timer is ON.
When pins are in, timer is OFF.

Set multiple ON/OFFs each day.
Timer repeats every 24-hours.

Manual ON/TIMER switch located on inner dial.

Set override to timer for program to operate.
To override time and turn on Load, move override to ON position.
