I have two issues with my washer, one is that I get the SUD error message even when very little soap is added and second the estimated timer shows one minuet when it runs for another 30 minuets? I have a Kenmore He4 front load washer. I washed a rug that released this muddy substance that has clogged the drain in the machine. I am getting F02 and SUD codes. I cleaned out the drain area in the gasket, but how do I clean the rest out it myself?
I believe the SUDS error is in direct relationship to the clogged drain problem. Yes...the error can be generated by the use of too much soap. But, it is also caused by too much air in the drain pump. This is caused by a clog somewhere. A clog in the drain area of the gasket is not going to cause this. The problem is your drain line and/or drain pump. If you click on the link below, I have step-by-step instructions on how to access the drain pump and clean it out.

I have experienced on one occasion where the drain hose coming from the bottom of the wash tub was clogged. This, ironically, was from someone washing a rug that had a ton of sand and dirt in it. I had to remove this hose from the bottom of the wash tub and clean it out. I mention this just in case cleaning the drain pump is not enough.

Apparently the hyperlinks are no longer working. Just go to my profile and click on my "Tips and Tricks". You will find a posting for checking the drain pump on a Kenmore Elite front loader. If you can't find it, please let me know.

We had this problem and used your advice to clean out the pump (a pair of undies was stuck in there). Thanks!
However, water will still not drain and the drain pump makes a whirring noise. It will do this indefinitely, until we unplug the machine. Any ideas? Do we need a new pump?
thanks!
HI, I just fixed my HE4T. I was getting the error code F33. When I removed the back panel I found that a bracket that holds the discharge tube and pressure line had broken. the pressure line was rubbing against the drum housing and wore a hole threw it. A couple of wraps of good old E tape and a zip tie and it was back in business.

My other problem I am having is that after washing a load of rugs there is water standing in my front loading wash machine. What can I do to fix my problems??
