I have a lexmark p6250 printer and my disk for installation is for xp and it will not load on Vista can I get free software upgrade

You may need to uninstall the existing Lexmark P6250 driver first before installing the new driver. Try to follow the steps on how to uninstall the Lexmark software properly using this link: http://bit.ly/8ZH59T. After uninstalling the Lexmark software and rebooting your pc, check your Vista if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to the Start menu > right click on Computer > click on Properties. For the software, click on this link: http://bit.ly/9ZxnG4(for 32-bit) or this link: http://bit.ly/9ckUUz(for 64-bit). Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software. Why can i not download the disc for lexmark printer P6250 on my computer
when you go to down load this disk try saving it to your desktop first then disconnect from the internet and disable your antivirus then click on the file to install it. alot of antivirus software doesnt like scanner drivers and wont let them be installed

Win Vista cannot print on Win XP(P) shared lexmark p6250 printer
try to remove printer driver and install again located at control panel..
how to do this?
go to the start and din control panel and din click ad and remove program you can see the new window appear name current install files you can see the printer driver bellow click uninstall. to take effect restart you pc din install again the printer driver.
and chk your tuner or ink maybe if not empty thank you hope i can help you... have a good day!!!!!!

Need for a set up disc for lexmark P6250
If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

Lost installation disk
Download the driver package that suits your operating system (XP, Vista, 2000) from Lexmark. You will find the files here:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:462:0:0

For future reference, entering just p6250 brought up nothing at Lexmark's support site. Enter Lexmark p6250 & it goes right to support for your printer.

Just got new computer with windows vista now my lexmark p6250 printer dos"t work
You will need to install Vista driver to suit, please note that orginal scanning software is not available but you will find within Vista itself the ability to scan.
