I have a whirlpool stackable thin twin washer and dryer-Model#LTE6234D02. The washer will not get passed the rinse cycle. It stops in the middle of it and will not complete the rinse cycle therefore will not go to the spin cycle. I have tried all the different positions and the same thing happens. What is wrong? What can I do to fix it. the dryer is also having problems with the knob. It comes completely off and then of course nothing happens. Please help. I am caring for my disabled husband and I must have my washer/dryer in working condtion. Thanks! Melissa

Before wasting money on a timer that wont be returnable once it is removed from the packaging please respond to me and tell me does the washer do everything including draining, and the only thing it will do not do is spin or will it wash but not drain and spin their are 2 posibilities based on your response and neither is the timer
Thanks, Gene
so ya know i have beena appliance repair technician for over 30 years
The struts, shocks, springs...they are called different things depending on who you speak to. Apparently on the heavy duty thin twin stackable units they are all bad and last for about 13 months just after the manufacturers warranty, this is common knowledge among Whirlpool technicians and even the replacement parts that are being installed are not performing for the lifetime they were designed. I have contacted a repair service and they are scheduled for the middle of next week and over the phone he ballparked the estimate at about $300.00.
the inlet filter is probably clogged restricted and/or inhibited flow of water into your machine.
These things happen, and cleaning out the filter is a good first step to finding the problem.
We are sorry to hear of the problem with your Whirlpool washer. We would recommend having a local certified technician in your area properly diagnose and repair the issue you are experiencing. Please email us at [email protected] with your name, phone number, address and the model and serial number for your washer.
Sounds like you may have a lid switch problem. Without a model number, I really can give you a part number (Kenmore Stacks are made by two companies, Frigidaire and Whirlpool) or a way to get to it. It is right under the lid. Check the top and be sure that the plunger that goes into the hole isnt broke or missing. If you need further help, send me the model number (will start with 417 if its a Frigidaire or 110 if its a Whirlpool) and will try to get you a little more information. The job on either unit isnt that hard, and parts are pretty inexpensive. Let me know. Jim
