Video can i update my ipod nano 2gb silver and play videos coz it brings the option of music videos

To download songs to iPod nano: m Simply connect iPod nano to your computer. If iPod nano is set to update automatically, the download begins. I formatted my ipod Nano (2GB - Model No: A1199) on windows Vista. When I copy songs from computer it show from computer but not showing in ipod: Now songs are not playing. I am missing my music. Help me........

Here is the solution:
Connect iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
Drag the music to your iTunes library.
Select iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window.
In the main iTunes browser window, select the Music tab.
Select the checkbox labeled "Sync music".
You have the option to sync all songs and playlists or selected playlists.
Click Apply and iTunes will begin syncing the music you've selected to your iPod.

Mpeg 4 format will work on Nanos. In fact I record my video podcasts in that format. I can give you the link to test it.

Be careful of anything encoded into a different format other than Mpeg4. You might be able to see the video but the audio will not play due to the fact that the Ipod can't read the encryption.

Reboot your Ipod by holding down on the center button while holding down on the menu button.

This should reboot your IPod.

If that doesn't work plug your Ipod into Itunes and restore your software back to factory settings. Make sure that battery if fully charged as well.

The user's manual is available from Apple's website if you never received one. You have to og into the men usettings and turn the shuffle off. There is only play and pause on this unit - there is no stop. It goes to sleep after 10-15 minutes by design. The right side of the clickwheel lets you select songs - the center button lets you play the songs once you have selected them. It takes a while to get used to the clickwheel, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes 2nd nature.

IT does not support Nano yet get ipod classic 80gb play all music and videos. I have been told in two three months KW will come up with softwerar update for Nano.

I just had the same problem with my 2GB silver nano. I had to restore the factory settings through iTunes and reload all of my music. There was also an update for the nano that I downloaded yesterday (Jan. 29, 2006) and installed when I restored the factory settings. My nano appears to be running fine for the moment,but we'll see if this actually took care of the problem.
