Our Phillips HD projection tv has lost a picture. It started by blacking out once in a while but now the picture is constantly rolling. The screen is distorted and it's impossible to even recognize what is on TV. The sound is perfectly fine.

How do I expand my Tv screen

If the physical size of your screen is 4:3 the only thing it can show is a compressed version. The screen is physically not able to show the true 16:9 version. The true 16:9 HD signal has been developed to show on a screen that is twice as wide as it is long or 16:9 ratio. Your screen is almost square or 4:3 ratio. I hope this helps. Thanks for using fixya.

I have a philips dptv310 55'' rear projection tv... everything works but picture is in constant red tint... any fixes

The Phillips are famous for the coolant needing replacement in the blue and green CRTs which make the screen take on a red tint and the pic will appear dull. You can get the Phillips coolant Kit at www.tvrepairworld.com The kit also contains the CD with instructions

The green cutoff level has drifted and the green gun is not turning off completely. You MAY have a user adjustment available.

Hooking up from hd receiver to hdtv ready projection tv. what cables do I use? vga or rca component red, blue, green and sync white/black? My hd receiver has output of :hdmi, rca component, s-video ,...

This particular television puts you in a tough bind - you can use Component cables in AV-1, but you won't be able to get HD. Or you can use the Component cables in the right-most component slot (AV-4), but since your HD Receiver probably doesn't have V/H Sync connectors, you may get a rolling picture. Try the component cables in the right-most slot - if the picture doesn't roll, you're in business.

Once again, I doubt that your model # is a 60pp9202, since that model doesn't have a VGA or DVI slot. If the picture rolls after trying the above, you will need to purchase a HDMI-to-DVI-D cable and hook it up from the HDMI output of your HD receiver to the DVI slot (that looks like a VGA slot) on the back of your Philips or Magnavox.
