CAMERA WILL NOT OPERATE MESSAGE READS "CAMERA STABLIZER NOT AVAILABLE." hOW DO I CORRECT THIS?

Read the manual, locate the media dial and set it to the correct default position.

If camera refuses to operate, then there is something wrong with unit.

The manual is very simple in this case, it says:
The Camera Shake unit may be malfunctioning. If the same message appears after you turn power back on, contact your retailer or a Casio service centre.
So if you need the stabilisation (low shutter speeds, you have to go to the repair shop, to let it fix.
Try switching off the camera, remove the battery for a few minutes and then place the battery back.
Still the same error? you know what to do. Sorry.

UPS will provide constant voltage out put.
The average working condition of UPS is 170 to 270 volt.
Below the level may not work.

The Read Error message displayed on the Camera when accessing the images which was not recorded correctly. This may also happen when the Memory Stick is corrupted to record or read the files. Please check if the message is displaying when accessing all the images. If it happens with all the images, then it may be an issue with the Camera or the Memory Stick.
To check if the issue is with the Memory Stick, try using a different Memory Stick and check if the message displays.This may also happen when an attempt was made to play back the image or the movie that was not recorded on this camera.
Try to wipe the contact area on the Memory Card with a soft, dry cloth. It may be necessary to format the Memory Card (Format option is available in the Setup 2 Menu of the Camera). If the message still appears, service may be required.

try resetting the camera if you can. This is a fairly easy procedure which involves either going into your setup menu and choosing "reset," or, removing the batteries for a few minutes. After which, you should have the camera reset to factory default settings.

Another tip for when you get home is to go to to the website and look for firmware updates. Download and install them.
Are you working with a Casio as this error is common with the Casio user.

In Casio EV-7, anti-shake only works in S-Mode or M-Mode and the speed must not be more than 4 seconds, which means the lighting must not be too dim.

If you have set it to the correct mode and lighting condition is not too dim, then you got to perform one more step - to set the anti-shake to on.

" In Record Mode, press Menu button
On Rec tab, select anti shake "

You will be given 3 options, Auto, Camera shake, Image blur.
Select Auto or Camera shake.

Image stabilization cannot correct for movement of the subject (fan). Image stabilization only corrects for movement of the camera/photographer. If you take a picture of the ceiling fan with the flash turned on, or set the ISO to a higher number, you will see that the fan is less blurred because you have increased the shutter speed.

The problem is already fixed. I sent it to Casio Repair Office to get it fixed. They will repair for me without any charge and mail it back to me.

Call 800-706-2534 and option 2. That is casio repairs. They will know exactly what your talking about if you say you have a stabilizer error. :)
