Either your TV or your cable/sat box(if any) is on zoom(enlarging pix). Look for buttons on both remotes that might say picture size or aspect something like that...Pressing these buttons usually cycle thru 3 or 4 size options. When in zoom center of screen is the focus and outer edges of pic are cut off.

I have a mitubishi ws-55313 with a monitor link DVI connection and I have tried to convert that to hdmi for a cable DVR but it doesn't work any ideas?

The monitor link is not a standard DVI connection, it was used to connect a Mitsubishi HD set top box. You can connect your cable DVR using component video cables and get HD that way, up to 1080i but not 1080p

The ticker tape during football or nascar is not visible

If your watching a standard resolution(4:3) picture in wide screen format (16:9). than the picture will be stretched and the tops and bottoms cropped. look in your video or set up menu to change the resolution settings to standard 4:3

4yr old Mitsubishi DL 52525, HDMI input vide problem

Are you sure its the TV and not the source? Are you sure its only the HDMI port on the TV? The only reason why you must HDMI is to get 1080p and your TV doesn't support 1080p. Its supports up to 1080i. Your TV has a native resolution of 720p which means it can accept a 720p image and not need to scale it, so the picture will look the best at 720p but will support 1080i. I would use component cables to connect your sources and set them to output 720p.

PS3 not recognized by Mitsubishi WD=52525 tv through HDMI

FYI,

PS3 has output settings and would need to be adjusted if you are coming from the RCA input. Check out www.sony.com/ps3 trouble shooting under display problems. I believe the solution is to turn on the PS3 unit and keep holding the I/O button for more than 5 seconds. I had the same issue going the other way.

Good Luck.

My tv shows its's geting 1080i only

1080p signal... THE MITSU. WD-65731 has a resolution of 1080p its just the res your PS3 is pumping into your screen is loaded with a little bit more pixels than you 1080p res MITSU. I suggest getting a MITSU WD-57731 since it has a 1080P/24 input. and has great clarity and HD ample for the BD of your PS3. however the differences in picture rate and quality is very small. goodluck.
