We bought a used uniden scramble walky talky. Put in new rechargeable batteries and charged, but they won't turn on. The charger feels warm, so don't think it's that.

Maybe, scramble is likely a button on the front. The model most likely will be under the battery. It could be so many things. The model will assist me in making certain I can give you better advise.

How do you make it so you can see which lines are in use? Also, how to set up the direct talking with other people in the office Like a walky-talky by the push of a button?

Hi Fallon, while on the middle of conversation, please check the LCD display of your digital phone, you will see "voice call" then press the button for direct talking.

What is the use of push to talk how can we acess it

Push to talk is a kind of wireless service provided by the service provider. You might have to activate it for some charge said by the provider.Once activated, your phone becomes a walky talky that can detect around 200mts of another walky talky around.Hope this answers your question. Please do rate my solution.Thank you.

Walky talky

A walkie talky as we called them, back when we were younger - and hell we probably still do in some respects, hence the fact my friend still refers to her cordless phone as a "walkie talky" and the principals haven't changed that much.

The common old Walkie Talky or CB radio use what we call a half duplex, that means only one person can talk at a time. We are talking and listening on the same channel.

Cell phones are full duplex, meaning two way conversation, and this is simply listening on one channel whilst talking on another, so the basic principal is basically the same, just a little more sophisticated.

Walkie-talkie typically has one channel
CB radio has 40 channels.
Cell phone
can communicate on 1,664 channels or more!

I have included a link to a circuit diagram.

There is also two links below, building the transmitter & receiver.

Trust this helps, and please take the time to rate the answer given, thank you.
