AEG T57800 condensing tumble dryer. Randomly the machine will run for a while and then start to beep with an error E60 but will continue to tumble the clothes. The beep is sometimes very weak and only just making the noise. Then the door will pop open and the machine will stop. If you turn it off and on again it will work for a short time then do it again. It will work fine on the 30 minutes setting which does not involve detecting the dampness of the clothes. I have cleaned the inside of the drum with white vinegar as reccomended by AEG book. Cleaned out all the condensing exchanger cartridge and all the airways I can get to. Also taken the back panel off to clean around the heating element. Air flow around the machine is also good. Please can you help?

The last alarm code memorized can be displayed even if the appliance is in normal operating mode (e.g. while the drying programme is being performed): - Press (start/pause) and first option button simultaneously for at least 5 seconds: the display shows the last alarm.The alarm sequence continues to flash as long as the two buttons are held down.
The appliance continues the cycle while the alarm codes are being displayed. If the appliance is in programme selection mode, the options previously selected are stored in memory.

E60 is family fault code but after reading last alarm you will see exactly fault code (E61; E62; E63)

E61 - Insufficient heating (maximum time exceeded)

E62 - Power reley to heater unit faulty

• Heater unit faulty
• Wiring faulty

E63 - Intervention of auto-reset thermostat on the heater unit

You machine needs to be entered to the diagnostic mode, so that you can test the components. But it appears the thermostat or control board is having an issue, and it could because there is lint built up.
