I had to wipe and recover my toshiba satellite L350d resulting in now being unable to use my webcam. i was thinking that the drivers werent on my recovery disks. i dont know anyhelp would be much appreciated

most toshiba laptops will have the toshiba installer witch will have all the apps and driver files for your webcam however if your unable to find em then message me here on my gmail i have the drivers on my toshiba u505 witch will work/ [email protected]

you are most likely missing the driver for your webcam

The software for your Toshiba is on the Toshiba site. You can download it, as you said, on another computer and burn it to a CD.
If you can't find the driver, are you trying to download an XP driver for a computer that was delivered with Vista? That might be a problem, as Toshiba won't provide an XP driver if the machine was configured for Vista. I would suggest googling the driver and seeing what you can come up with.

Sounds like it is dirty and needs cleaning. It is new? Be sure to remove the plastic cover. If not, use a qtip with alcohol to clean it.
There is no proper program to use it. You can use it with MSN messenger, Yahoo messeger, etc. Just be sure to get the drivers installed.

Toshiba usually ships laptops with recovery cd/dvd sets.
If you have captioned recovery set, make sure to make a backup copy.
If this series no has recovery cd/dvd, must be a hidden partition for recovery in the hard drive. For make a recovery disc find the sotware loaded in the laptop (must be there) and make a recovery disc set. Be aware that some manufacturers limit the use of this particular software (you only can make one cd/dvd recovery set).
In the worst scenario that the recovery partition is no present you must load Norton Ghost v14.0 and make a full backup to one external hard drive (USB) in order to recover te operative system, drivers and software in case of disaster.
