I bought Panasonic 5 CD changer model no. SA AK 18 in the year of 2000.In spite of being an old version digital audio system its sound quality was awesome. Now it has got a fault in its drive and in turn, being processor controled,it doesn't get switched on in other feachers also except showing F61 in the display.I have kept the set at Panasonic showroom in Shillong for many a month but they have failed to give a life to my asset. My question is that if these kind of items become a mere ten years old, really they become use and throw for some tiny spares.Kindly guide me if there is a solution in Shillong as well as in Kolkata.Thanks....

this is something a tech expert on electronics can handle. even replacing parts has to be attended by a pro-technician. something is wrong with your DSP processor or system components. it could be the switch only or it could be the processor.

Hi, i had the same problem with a panasonic player, when you see the code F61 in the screen it is because the audio output IC is defective, change that and the set will work perfectly. hope it work.

There are a couple of possibilities:

1) The output amp-pac has failed and nneds to be replaced.
2) The power regulator pac is bad and nneds to be replaced.

Either option is somewhat expensive. Unfortunately without seeing the actual machine and taking measurements inside, there is no way for me to be sure what option fits here. I would take this to an authorized Panasonic repair center and have it repaired there. Expect a parts cost in the $50-$75 range.

My panasonic system 5 cd changer sa ak 133 turning fm , but AM not turning even single station?

It sounds like your SA AK 133 5 CD changer has some issues. The AM radio band not turning on could be due to a faulty antenna, a problem with the power supply, or a software issue. To resolve this issue, you should check the antenna first and make sure it is connected properly. If the antenna is connected properly and the issue persists, you may need to check the power supply or contact the manufacturer for assistance. The issue with the CD not ejecting could be due to a faulty drive motor or a faulty eject mechanism. To resolve this issue, you should check the drive motor and the eject mechanism and replace them if needed. The issue with the tapes not working could be due to a faulty cassette player mechanism. To resolve this issue, you should replace the cassette player mechanism.

I have a Panasonic SA-PT660. It is just over a year old...and I get the 5 Disk changer to open. I turn the unit on and it just clicks (sounds like machine gun) going off. It says Disk Changer Error....

Hi there
Q: Did you push the CD Door by force?
If yes ...
1: you have misplaced the mechanical wheels ..
or broke some thing.
2: Or the second possibility is that the Driving motor rubber is broken
the answer is to service it.
Good Luck
Hope this helps
