How to disable the Windows Command Prompt Note: To follow the steps listed below, you'll need administrator rights and have access to the Microsoft Windows Group Policy editor.
Click Start, and in the Run box type: gpedit.msc and press enter.In the Group Policy window, browse to the User Configuration\Administrative Templates and highlight the System folder.In the System folder, double-click "Prevent access to the command prompt."Change the Setting to Enabled, then click Ok. When entering the command prompt, you should now receive a prompt similar to the example below.
The command prompt has been disabled by your administrator.

If you want to re-enable this feature, follow the above steps. However, instead of setting the option to "Enabled", change it to the default setting of "Not configured."

Perform the following steps to reset the Windows Update component.

1. Stop the Background Intelligent Transfer Service and the Automatic Updates service. To do this, follow these steps:

a. Click Start/All Programs/Accessories. Right click 'Command Prompt' and select 'Run As Administrator'. Click 'Continue' on the UAC prompt.

b. At the command prompt, type the following commands, and then press ENTER after each command:

net stop wuauserv
net stop bits

2. Rename the "Catroot2" folder. To do this, follow these steps:

Type the following commands, and then press Enter after each command.

net stop cryptsvc
ren %systemroot%\System32\Catroot2 oldcatroot2
net start cryptsvc

3. Rename the "SoftwareDistribution" folder:

Type the following command, and then press Enter.

ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

4. Register the files that are used by Windows Update and Microsoft Update. To do this, follow these steps:

a. At the command prompt, type the following commands, press ENTER after each command, and then click OK every time that you receive a verification message:

regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wucltux.dll
regsvr32 wups2.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuwebv.dll


5. Start the Background Intelligent Transfer Service, the Automatic Updates service, and the Event Log service. To do this, follow these steps:

a. At the command prompt, type the following commands, and then press ENTER after each command:

net start bits
net start wuauserv
net start Eventlog
exit

Reboot the computer and try Windows Update again. That should get update working gain but your update status may change a bit so you may have to rerun update a few times.

Use the following command in command prompt and your problem will be gone for sure (it will not delete any content) :-

attrib -r -s -h g:\* /s /d

Note:- (replace "g" letter in the above command by your 500gb Roco Hard disk drive letter)

To open command prompt press WindowKey+R and write cmd in the box and press enter. Then write the above command on the command prompt window and press enter.

Some files are also system hidden and they can only be seen using this command.

---->Attrib command is use to change the Attributes of file/folder to showup(unhide) in windows. use attrib/? at command prompt for help.

1) Using free software:
Download the "Autorun Eater" from internet ( 1.5mb)

a) Install "Autorun eater" ( some Antivirus detect it as a virus but it is safe) and run it. It appears at taskbar ( lower right corner)

b) Right click on it and follow following path
Registry fix>>fix folder option.
(This will repair folder option and it will appear in tool menu)
Now you can see hidden folders

But Surabaya virus change your folder attribute to system folder. So to see your folders you have to untcheck option " hide protected system files and folder" which appears
Right "below the show hidden files and folder" option
Path:
Open my computer>>tools>>folder option>>view>>uncheck show hidden files.. and hide protected system files and folder
How to change folder attributes to normal

You can use command prompt to change the folder attributes
A) Start MS-DOS command prompt (start>>program files>>accessories>>command prompt
B) Type drive letter and attrib command
D:\Attrib *. * -S -H -R /D /S ( Put space between /D and /S switches.)
This will change your all folder option to normal

1)Manual:
a) type "regedit" at command prompt..STRAT>>run>>regedit
b) Search word 'surabaya' in registry...Edit>>find>>Surabaya
c) Delete two entries appeared in search as " LegalNotice Caption and LegalNoticeText"
d) Now using left option tree navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\showfile
check value 0 to 1
