I have a flymo rotorvator 5 hp briggs and straton engine it runs for about 5 minutes and then stops if i leave it for 10 mins or so it starts again any solutions please

Clean the fins on top of head and rest of engine,grass- dirt- etc.

see if your loosing spark when this happens if so remove the upper engine cover and check for debris build up over heating the coil and engine

Are you saying the engine gets hot or the solenoid..if engine ? What oil are you using should be no lighter then SAE 30 for summer vehicles..Sounds more like your oil is breaking down and your Pistons and rings are getting tighter..the motor will start to work hard getting hotter from friction..if solenoid it should be replaced..Hope this helps..good luck

hello,After it stalls take the fuel cap off and put it back on and see if it starts,maybe the cap is bad or clogged and not letting air in to equalize the pressure of the fuel being used in other wards a clogged vent, this is a small thing but a big problem,,hope this helps, ``

check the valve clearance on the hot engine
chances are that there will be none as B7S engines tend to stretch the valve stems and close off the gap-

Surging is usually caused by a lean condition You can try to turn the mixture screw ccw about 1/4 to 1/2 turn. If this does not solve the problem your carb will have to be removed, cleaned thoroughly, and reinstalled.

Sounds like you coil is over heating after running a few minutes. The windings are seperating, then when it sools they make contact again. Try replacing the coil.

It sounds like the choke is comming on or you are prinming it again? Dont prime a warm engine

Your carbeurator needs to be rebuilt.

check the fuel float by taking the screw out of the fuel bowl and see if it has gas coming out
