Freezer supplies cold air for the fridge section.. Check fridge gasket for tight seal, operating freezer fan along with proper operation of damper mechanism which directs flow of cold air into the refrigerator.

Hi. There is a valve in the top corner of the frigde that controls the cold Air to flow from the freezer to cool the fridge. This valve called a damper closes when the door is opened. You have to depress the door switch and listen for the fan in the freezer to switch on then feel for cold air to flow into the fridge compartment. The fan could have failed or the damper valve could be stuck closed.

The refrigerator side is at present working properly , but slowly slowly, it will also loose its cooling.This will happen because, freezer side is the side which cools first, then the refrigerator side ( also called as fridge side)., gets cooled.If freezer side is not cooling / freezing properly then fridge side will also loose its cooling ability.------------ And later on both section will loose its cooling.----------- As per the present situation, it indicates problem with compressor or problem with freezer side door not closing properly.---------- Or the temperature in freezer section is not set to proper cooling/ freezing.--------- So first inspect temperature, is it set right? If ok, then check the freezer door , is it properly closed? If ok, then its compressor problem.? Its defrost problem, the freezer should cool, then freeze, then defrost cycle should start. In your case freezer is cooling, then freezing, but its not defrosting. That's why fridge section is not cooling.-------

Its the problem with compressor,The problem is weak compressor.The refrigerant ( R12) in the compressor is got low.The compressor is weak.The compressor needs to be replaced.-------------- The working procedure of this unit is as follows: --- The compressor starts then it cools the freezer section. When the freezer reaches its cooling level the defrost cycle starts functioning. In this cycle the fan in the freezer section starts running and the cool air in the freezer section is passed to the fridge section and the fridge section gets cold. I guess the freon gas is not circulating properly on the cooling tubes...check for any blockage or damage in the cooling tubes...

Check the freezer section for frost build up, there is probably a problem with the defrost cycle. 1 of 3 things defrost bi metal would be the likely problem.The back panel in the freezer should be removed to see if there is too much frost.

I would be calling the store from where it was purchased it should be under warranty. If the ice maker is not working the freezer is not getting down to proper temp. therefor the refrigerator does not cool because all cooling takes place in the freezer, there is a damper between the refrigerator and freezer that allows air through cooling the refrigeration section. Look for ice on the back wall, of the freezer section, If present then the defrost cycle is not working. The evap.coil is icing up and there is no air blowing into the refrigerator. This is the most common problem.
