Repair the program by going to Control Panel --> Add Remove Programs --> Ulead MF6 --> Change/Remove --> Repair.
You must have the original instal disk in you optical drive for this to work. This solved the no capture driver error message for me. If this doesn't work I would uninstall and reinstall the whole program.

My device is connected. Ulead VideoStudio says: Either no video capture driver is install. Where can I find the driver for Sony handycam DCR-TRV30E

  • The USB connection only allows transfer of pictures and movies stored on the Memory stick. The videos recorded to DV tape is NOT accessible through the USB interface. You must transfer taped videos using i.Link.
  • Go get a Firewire (also known as i.Link and IEEE 1394) cable to connect to your computer's Firewire port. Adding a Firewire PC card is relatively inexpensive, but make sure that card has BOTH the 4 pin and 6 pin connections, for most flexibility.
  • Once you connect the camcorder with the Firewire cable, the Ulead VideoStudio will see the camcorder as a video capture device, without additional software or drivers.

Capture device not recognized

Hi there,

this problem can be caused by many different things, I would recommend you try the following:

1, I would first uninstall the software and drivers for the stick and then clean the computers registry using a program such as the free for 30 days tune up utilities available from http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/

2, Download the latest drivers from AverMedias website instead of using the ones provided on the CD

3, Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card, updates are available from the graphics card manufacturer.

4, Try the stick in a different USB port

5, Defrag your harddrive

If after all this the stick does not work I would return it to the manufacturer and ask for a replacement to rule out that it is the stick and not your computer

Poor DVD image out quality.

In the settings for video type check what you have picked cause well if its mpeg1 it will be pretty poor and big where as you can prob set it to divx or xvid and select a higher compression rate, all really depends on the qaulity of the video you first captured before shoving it into ulead

you could try adobe premier elements, just a trial to see if it helps then you will know if its ulead.
http://www.adobe.com/products/premiereel/?promoid=121DJGSC_P_US_FP2_PRE_MN&tt=P_US_FP2_PRE_MN

or when captureing it from your cam check and make sure its set to mpeg2 (dvd format) capture means that there will be vvery little conversion to do to dvd.

anyway hope any of this helps.

JVC Camcorder GR-D33U

try this steps
  • first install the driver camed with your camcorder to your pc. this should recognize your computer after the installation.
  • use USB cable to connect your camcorder to your pc.
  • as far as i know jvc is using a software name ulead (because i also have a camcorder and its software is ulead)
  • Try to use Ulead Movie producer, Windows Movie maker or any other software that accepts uploading dv video.(i prefer to use ULEAD movie producer or any Ulead products its easy to use)
  • After uploading it from the ULEAD and editing, save it with any various types of videos you like. (in your case save it in DVD format so that it will easy for you to burn it.)
  • Use NERO after searching the save video file and Burn it in DVD type
I hope you understand my procedures and steps on how to transfer it. if you have further questions just contact me. hope that helps!
