My benq fp547 says its out of range...the image still shows up but there is a bar in the middle of the screen that says out of range...any ideas?

hi; do you check your computer if its working? try to check if its coming from your monitor first remove the VGA connector from your computer then power on your monitor, if its lights up and show no signal means its good.. if the problem comes from computer ,maybe Video card has a failure or other parts in there. there a beep codes for some errors...1 beep means good self test.

problem with your back light / inverter need to have it repaired

right click>properties>setting

check leads if they are connect in the normal video slot on dvd player and chek the player settings what out pot it is on

make sure you are using ac power
and not battery

Try checking the settings in properties for this device to make sure they are as you left them. YOu can also uninstall the drivers for the card and reinstall them to see if that takes care of the issue.

check your resolution settings and change to 800><600 and try again.If it does not work at 1024><768 try loading monitor driver In display properties it should show BenQ FP731 instead of plug and play monitor.

the adjustment box for colour, brightness and contrast stays fixed on the screen. i tried pressing the exit button.... after a few times it disappears only to reappear within a few minutes. also the auto adjustment option, for which we are supposed to manually press the i button, keeps auto adjusting the screen whenever it feels like it. the box appears right in middle of the screen and is a real nuisance as it blocks out the main portion.
