My has multible lines streaming across the screen and unable to view picture. It sometimes stops and the flutters and starts up again.

The TV has a thin horizontal line across the screen. Sometimes the line has color and sometimes the line is white. Everything else seems to be working (i.e. sound, channel changing, game hookups)....

you have a vertical output problem,take something insulated and prod around board and see if pix starts to flutter,then you could have a "cold-solder" joint,otherwise its more than likely a capacitor between the vert driver circuit and the vert output circuitry,

canon has a recall on this camera. call them and they will send you a box to send it back. If you are one of the lucky ones the will send you a canon s5is back...really nice camera

Horizontal white lines across top of TV screen

Hi I had the same problem. Broken white lines across the top of the screen. This is called overscan. You need to go into the Setup menu, other settings. 16:9 overscan needs to be on. Hope this helps.It solved our problem.

Picture flutter

As I indicated (I think) in another string, this sounds more like bad connections than anything else. Try resoldering the pins on the convergence ICs. Let me know if that does not resolve the problem.

Color line across the center of a black screen

Hi. this is caused by dry solder joints on the frame o/p IC. Resolder all legs of frame chip. Should sort that out.
