I'm guessing you used a compatable toner/drum cartridge. It sounds like you have a bad cartridge. If its a refilled drum cartridge its bad, either the drum blade is bad or charging is bad. Take it, or send it back and get another one. I recommend genuine "Canon" products. All toners and units are not made to the same standard as the Canon products.
You will have to replace the thermister or the thermal fuse or the fuser heating lamp or all three. I don't believe it can be cleared till the problem is fixed. Most of the time you will need to replace the fuser lamp... It's a older copier and the lamp is most likely blown... Good Luck
Just fyi, a Canon PC-6e is a copier that is about ten + years old of a model... The drum unit will make the copies better.... But, you most likely need to clean the optic's. Have you tried to make the copies lighter??? If I am correct, there is a small botton on the control pannel that will turn... It will make the copies light one way and darker the other way... Good Luck
