Have you checked your aspect ratio? Wide-screen?
Check your onscreen menu and see if it is properly positioned, if so then you may have another issue with settings and not an actual TV problem itself.
Maybe a set-top unit that has a misconfiguration if your subscribing to cable or satellite.

Using Ex Pat Shield, BBC progs no longer start and a notice, 'Task failed at step 0: config was empty.' (Or 'Task queue failed ditto' Everything worked fine just days ago.

I have exactly the same problem, same error message. I first noticed the problem yesterday (September 11). Error message appears when trying to watch live TV through iPlayer. BBC News Channel works OK from BBC News website. Live sports broadcasts work OK through BBC Sport website. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player but it made no difference.

The picture is too big for the screen. It cuts off the heads and you can't see the news scrolls at the bottom

Press Zoom button repeatedly on tv remote to get correct Screen Aspect Ratio that you want to see.

I have a Sony Bravia that was bought in the UK, I now live in Ireland and brought the tvwith me, however when I conect to my antenna, I cannot find any irish terestrial tv channels, all I seem to pick up...

Most broadcasters have gone over to digital service and you may need an outside antenna to improve reception. Even a piece of wire would help but a proper antenna is best.... Cheers!
