I unexpectedly got an "82 replace waste toner box" message. Now nothing will print and we really rely on our printer every day. I don't want to wait until a new empty bottle arrives, so is there some way to empty out the waste toner bottle?

To clear the message 'Replace WT Box' from the LCD display, power off the printer using the power switch on the right side of the printer. Wait 5 seconds and then power the printer back on. If the printer continues to display the message 'Replace WT box', the waste toner box is full and needs to be replaced.

The clear section of the waste toner box where that goes inside the machine check that area sensor located there might have toner on it so the printer thinks the waste toner box is full

THE WASTE TONER IS THE PLACE WHERE THE CARTIDGE IS PARKED WHEN NOT IN USE. IT IS USUALLY IN THE RIGHT SIDE CORNER.

First, try to check the release lever for the waste toner box. If this is OK you might be looking up to replacing the waste toner box cause this is the common reason for "Print Unable 2A" error

It is possible also that 2A is a fuser thermistor error usually caused by the fuser not heating properly and needing to be replaced. If the fuser is heating properly then the thermistat may be failing and need to be replaced.

I'm afraid a little help from a service technician is all you need, if you don't have experience for this kind of printer problem.

Go to this website and order a new waste toner bottle. It will have instructions on replacing it. It is very simple.

Try to reseat the waste toner box and power down the printer for at least 30 seconds.

clean out inside of waste bottle.
reason: ink on the side interrupts a lazer which then sends a message to the printer that the toner if full when it is not. If this doesn't work dust around the area around the waste bottle with a clean paint brush
