Hi,

Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.

If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

I have a GE Model GSL25JFPH BS refrigerator and the water through the door just stopped working. Still getting ice, but no water

I have the same MdL. mine freezes in the door, it happens all the time, I take the freezer door off and take it outside and run a weed eater line up through the tubing in the door when its clear you can blow through the line, I will be buying different brand next time, and last night the freezer will only get to 28deg and that's all it will do. its eight years old and we have had problems from the day it went out of warrenty.

GE Frig GSL22JFTA BS

If you get water at the bottom of the door then something is blocking it between there and the dispenser. Usually ice. Leave the door open and cover the freezer opening with a blanket to keep freezer cold.It should thaw in 156 or 20 minutes.

Where is the thermostat on a GE profile refrigerator Side-by-Side

There is no thermostat ( cold control ) on your model refrigerator . It works off thermistors ( 3 in the refrig section and 2 in the freezer section ) . These thermistors , operate by the coldness which in turn , less resistance to the main control board the colder or warmer it will provide .

GSL22JFRE BS not cooling. I need help troubleshoot my GE GSL22JFRE BS cooling issue. I found a temporary fix from this website by open up the "frosting-panel" in the freezer and blow-dry out the ice. It...

Hi, Ifwhat you are getting is frost, remove the rear panel again and locate the defrost heater. There will be two wires going to it and it is fastened to the bottom of the evaporator coil.Remove the two phillips screws holding the heater and pull it out to remove the wires. Check the element for continuity. If there is no continuity on the element, replace it. If the element shows ok, locate the bi-metal switch that is fastened at the top of the evaporator coil. Test it and make sure it has continuity. NOTE: the bi-metal must be tested while it is cold.
The most common problem with this model is the defrost heater.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Which setting on an Energy Miser saves energy?

OFF is the Energy Saver mode.

To reduce moisture, there is a heater around the door seal that stays turned on, using energy. If you switch to ON, you use more energy.

It is confusing though.

POWER LIGHT FLASHES ON / OFF

You need to install or change the battery for the power out freezer alarm. Mine was just doing the same thing. I looked on the web for the answer and couldn't find it. Opened the door to look for the model number and there was the diagram for the light flashing codes. Mine's battery compartment is in the grill on the bottom (right below the door) on the left side. Takes a 9v battery. I had a power outage recently and it must have killed the battery after beeping for several hours.
