Hi, I read a few of your replies to people's problems. I have a problem with my gas stovetop not igniting when the knob is in the "ignite" position. It just clicks, and it sounds like the click is coming from a different burner sometimes. What would you say is the best way to solve this problem? spark module or ignitor replacement?
If the rest of the surface
igniters are working, more than likely your spark module is working
fine. (This is normal, by the way)
I would suspect that you have a bad spark electrode at the burner in
question, a bad burner switch, or bad wiring.
I found several part
listings for the model number you posted this question under at
repairclinic.com. You will need to provide a more complete model number
in order to narrow your search to ensure you get the right part. You can find your model number on a nameplate
around the oven door opening, or lower drawer opening (if equipped). Some manufacturers also place this
information on the back of the range.
I hope this helps answer
some of your questions. Please reply
back to this posting if you need further troubleshooting guidance.
