Format the hard drive

Next create a Username and company name (normally Home is all you need).
Further into the installation, you will be required to put in the Installation code. During the final stages of installation you need to create an User or Users that will use this computer. When you finished installing Windows you need to install the laptop's device drivers. You need to use a computer with Internet access to download these drivers from the laptop manufacturer's WEB site and install these drivers on your laptop.
Next connect a LAN cable to the LAN port from your computer to your DSL or cable modem and you need to Activate the Windows installation on the Microsoft WEB site.
Next up need to upgrade Windows from the Microsoft WEB site including Service pack.

I am using Dell Latitude E5500 at home, I am unable to connect to internet. But Wireless Network is connected and having good strength

Try to uninstall and reinstall your Local Area Network driver by going to the device manager from the control panel. expand the network adapter and right-click your LAN then select uninstall. Restart your computer and windows will automatically reinstall your LAN driver.

go to mfg websight and down load all th proper drivers there is likely a mother board driver not installed that allows it to see the ports
install all of the manufacturer's drivers
dont expect that microsoft wrote windows just for your computer it is a general set of generic drivers that make most things work but not every thing

Dell latitude 820 wireless driver problem

Try a forced install. Unpack the driver into a folder, then update the driver through the device manager. Make sure you dont have the wrong driver. Most laptops nowadays have a lan driver and an ethernet driver (it may not directly say wireless driver). Use a program called Everest to confirm the wireless devices' chipset.
